Why is the minimum order $99
At 1911 Beef, we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible products and shipping rates. To achieve this, we have implemented a minimum order requirement that will allow us to continue offering competitive prices and top-notch beef. Our team is confident that this new policy will benefit both our customers and our business.
Where does your beef come from?
Along with the PL brand, our beef comes from a few hand selected producers/suppliers that produce some of the best angus cattle in the business. These supply partners have the same values of producing a high-quality grade of cattle, that are well taken care of, as cattle is their business.
Is your beef grain or grass fed?
All of our beef is grass started and grain finished to obtain the best flavor and marbling.
Are your steaks aged?
Yes, we age our meat 14 days to achieve the flavor and tenderness.
There is no more dry ice and my beef is not completely frozen. Can I refreeze it?
Since our beef is vacuum sealed, our beef can be refrozen if the beef is still refrigerator cold. Tip: if you thaw our beef in the refrigerator, you can re-freeze it with no loss in quality if there is a change in plans. However, if you thaw our beef in cold water or in the sink the beef should not be re-frozen.
Why do my steaks have a brown color?
The brown color is common when oxygen is deprived from the vacuum seal. Once opened and the beef is exposed back to air, it will return to the red/pink color of the beef. This is not a signal that there is a problem with the beef.
What is the proper handling of dry ice?
Do not touch dry ice with your bare hands and always leave remaining dry ice in a well ventilated area to evaporate.

Gift Cards
What happens if I misplace or never receive my gift card?
Customers can click Resend gift cards from their order confirmation email.
Can I buy a gift card for someone else?
You can buy a digital gift card and send it with a custom message to someone else. Additionally, you can choose to either send the digital gift card immediately after purchase or on a specific date.
Scheduled gift cards are sent approximately between 4 am and 10 am of your timezone, and fallback to the store's timezone.
A personalized email that contains the custom message and a gift card code is sent to the recipient. You will receive a notification that contains the gift card code, and confirms that the gift card was sent to the recipient.
Can a gift card be used more than once?
Yes, provided there is still a balance remaining on the card.
Can more than one gift card be used towards a purchase?
Yes. You can redeem another gift card during checkout.
Can a gift card be used to buy a gift card?
No, you can't use a gift card to buy another gift card.
Can a gift card be used to pay for shipping and taxes?
Yes, gift cards are applied to the final order total which includes shipping and taxes.
Can gift cards be used in conjunction with a discount code?
Yes, gift cards are a form of payment.

How do you handle returns?

How do you handle discount code refunds?
If refunds are requested and a discount code was applied during initial payment, we will gladly credit your order for the same value if we are notified within 7 days of product delivery. Please email us at:info@1911beef.com

How is your beef prepared for shipping?
All of our beef is flash frozen for quality and shipped frozen with materials to insulate your purchase.
Product Quality Concerns
Who do I contact if I have product quality concerns?
If you are not satisfied with the quality of the product upon arrival please contact us at info@1911beef.com within 7 days for a replacement or refund of the full purchase price. If only a portion of the package was unsatisfactory, a partial refund or replacement may be issued. All refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used at checkout.
